Congress denounces BJP for politics of vendetta, hatred

Jammu: Congress leader and in charge of occupied Jammu and Kashmir affairs of the party, Bharatsinh Solanki has said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has vitiated the democratic atmosphere and bulldozed most of the democratic institutions.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Bharatsinh Solanki addressing a workers’ rally in Doda town, Jammu, lashed out at BJP for the “politics of vendetta, hatred and communal division” for vote bank politics.

He said that only Congress along with other like-minded secular parties can retrieve the vitiated social, political and democratic atmosphere in the country and restore the atmosphere of peace, harmony, mutual co-existence and progress.

He told workers to reach out to the masses and brief the people about the diversionary politics of BJP in the name of religion to escape from the failures to check unprecedented price rise and record unemployment, especially in Jammu and Kashmir.

The President of occupied Jammu and Kashmir chapter of Indian National Congress, Vikar Rasool Wani, on the occasion said BJP has punished the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir by depriving them of their rights and status and the democracy, as people of the territory are without their own elected government for five and half years. He said the bureaucrats are not accountable and accessible to common people who have lost the right to represent and highlight their issues before any elected forum. Even the elderly and physically challenged are forced to protest for pension and unemployed are on roads, he deplored.
