Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter during a seminar at its office in Islamabad has paid glowing tributes to the martyrs of 1965 war.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC-AJK Convener, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, who presided over the seminar said, 6th September, the Pakistan’s Defense day, is the tale of bravery and heroism. He said, during the war, the Pakistani nation stood united as one solid edifice to meet the onslaught of the enemy that chose the cover of darkness to achieve its nefarious designs.
The participants of the event eulogized the services of Pakistani armed forces for safeguarding the ideological and territorial borders of the country.
They also strongly condemned the killing of innocent people by Indian troops in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and said that India would not succeed to suppress the Kashmiris’ resolve for freedom through brutal tactics. They pointed out that peace and stability in South Asia was linked to the settlement of the Kashmir dispute.
Those who participated in the seminar included Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Syed Yousuf Naseem, Mir Tahir Masood, Muhammad Hussain Khateeb, Altar Ahmed Butt, Altaf Hussain Wani, Advocate Parvaiz Ahmed, Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoob, Engineer Mehmood, Nisar Mirza, Imtiyaz Wani, Hassan Bana, Syed Aijaz Rehmani, Haji Sultan Butt, Syed Mushtaq, Zahid Ashraf, Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, Adeel Mushtaq Wani, Nazir Ahmed Karnai, Dawood Yousufzai, Abdul Majeed, Mian Muzaffar, Muhammad Ashraf Dar, Gulshan Ahmed, Sheikh Abdul Majid, Manzoor Ahmed Dar, Ishfaq Ahmed Bhalwal, Qazi Imran, Attaullah and Raees Ahmed Mir.
APHC-AJK General Secretary, Sheikh Abdul Mateen, moderated the seminar.
Meanwhile, Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) Altaf Ahmad Butt also paid tribute to the brave martyrs of 1965 war against India. This day, he said, stands as a solemn reminder of the immense sacrifices made by valiant individuals who shed their blood for the cause of Pakistan’s sovereignty and security.
