Kashmiris reject BJP leader’s statement on election in IIOJK

Srinagar, September 28 (KMS): People of Jammu and Kashmir have rejected announcement by the BJP leader, Ashok Koul, on Wednesday that elections in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir are expected to be held in March-April next year.

People from all walks of life including Hurriyat activists, civil society members, lawyers and journalists while denouncing the announcement said that India has unlawfully snatched the special status of Jammu and Kashmir in August 2019, they will not allow any election activity in the territory.

They pointed out that Jammu and Kashmir is a disputed territory, and its solution lies in the UN-sponsored referendum, and not elections.
