Islamabad, January 22 (KMS): The Convener of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, has paid rich tributes to renowned commander of Al Fatah Force, Muhammad Yousuf Chopan, on his 22nd martyrdom anniversary.
Muhammad Yousuf Chopan was martyred by Indian troops in Botho area of Bandipore during a cordon and search operation on January 22, 2000.
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement issued in Islamabad said that Muhammad Yousuf Chopan was a noble soul who upheld principles of humanity in the field of freedom struggle.
He also paid tribute to another freedom fighter and mujahid leader, Fayaz Ahmad Shah, who was martyred by the Indian occupation forces in Srinagar. He said that despite Indian continued oppression, the people had not knelt before its military might and would never do it.
The APHC-AJK Convener voiced deep concern over arrest of Hurriyat leaders, human rights activists and media men across the occupied territory by Modi-led fascist Indian regime.
He also expressed sorrow over the apathetic attitude of the world leaders towards the plight of the Kashmiris in Indian military clutches and demanded release of all illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists and immediate repeal of all foreign laws imposed by India in IIOJK.
