Sehrai’s nephew passes away in Muzaffarabad

Islamabad, August 24 (KMS): Najmuddin Khan, renowned freedom activist and nephew of martyred Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Chairman, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, passed away after a brief illness in Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir.

Najmuddin was forced to migrate to Azad Kashmir after he was repeatedly harassed by the Indian authorities in early 1990s. Sehrai’s another nephew Abdul Qayoom Khan was martyred by the Indian occupation forces during the same period.

Hurriyat leader and activists including rights activist Muhammad Ahsan Untoo remembering Najmuddin as a God fearing and committed person lauded his role in the ongoing Kashmir freedom movement.
