Srinagar, August 01 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Dar-ul-Khair headed

by Hurriyat forum Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has distributed relief items among the fire victims in Srinagar.

Dar-ul-Khair in a statement issued in Srinagar also expressed concern over the huge loss of property due to the fire incident at Palapora, Guzarbal in the Noorbagh area of Srinagar in which around a dozen residential houses were gutted. It expressed heartfelt solidarity and sympathy with the affected families and stressed for their immediate rehabilitation.

On the directives of the Dar-ul-Khair patron, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who continues to be under house arrest, a delegation of the organisation led by Mufti Ghulam Rasool Samoon visited the affected families of Palapora Guzarbal Noorbagh and distributed rice, atta, blankets, kitchen kits and other items of basic necessity among them. The delegation also expressed solidarity with them on behalf of Dar-ul-Khair and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.

In wake of the continued lockdown owing to the COVID-19 pandemic which has caused severe financial difficulties for the poor, the Dar-ul-Khair is also continuing with its relief efforts under its “Feed A Family” programme.

In view of the current dire situation and economic crisis, the Dar-ul-Khair has once again strongly appealed to all the affluent people to continue their financial support to the charitable institution so that it can continue with its relief and rehabilitation mission.
