India’s NIA takes over probe into attack on Jammu Air Force Station

Jammu, June 29 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) Tuesday said that it has taken over Jammu Air Force Station (AFS) attack case.

In a statement issued in Jammu, NIA spokesman said that today (June 29) in pursuance of order of Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, NIA has reregistered the case of PS Satwari, district Jammu dated June 27 (Sunday) under various sections of Explosive Substances Act, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and Indian Penal Code.

The NIA said that the case relates to two explosions that occurred inside the premises of the Air Force Station, Satwari campus, Jammu on 27 June that led to the injury to two Air Force personnel and damaged the office buildings.

“While NIA has been working with other agencies since immediately after the incident, pursuant to reregistration of the case, requisite actions as per law, for expeditious investigation of case have been initiated,” the statement added.
