Srinagar, May 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL), Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has stressed for just, honorable and lasting settlement of Kashmir dispute.

Mukhtar Ahmad Waza addressing a meeting of party’s District and Tehsil presidents of South Kashmir at his residence in Kadipopra area of Islamabad said that meaningful and result-oriented dialogue amongst Pakistan, India and the genuine Kashmiri leadership was imperative to bring about a lasting resolution of the lingering dispute.

He expressed serious concern over the current grim situation of the Valley and held the puppet administration responsible for it. He said that shelling on protesting students was condemnable and PDP-BJP regime should read writing on the wall.

Mukhtar Waza urged the world community to take notice of the human rights violations perpetrated by Indian police and troops in occupied Kashmir. He reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to take the mission of their martyrs to its logical end at all costs.

He also urged the people to follow in letter and spirit the programmes of joint resistance leadership.

Glowing tributes were paid to prominent martyred resistance leaders, Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq, Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone, and Hawal martyrs.

The meeting was attended by JKPL leaders including Bilal Ahmad Sheikh, Nisar Ahmad Rather, Shuja-ul-Islam, Riyaz Ahmad Dar, Shabbir Ahmad Nanwai and Fayaz Ahmad Butt.
