People stage demonstrations against killings

Srinagar, August 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops, in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred three more Kashmiri youth in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, today.

The troops killed the youth including Abid Hamid Mir and Javaid Ahmed Dar during a siege and search operation at Amargarh in Sopore. Earlier, an Indian soldier and a policeman were injured in an attack in the same area.

The puppet authorities had imposed restrictions and deployed heavy contingents of Indian police and paramilitary personnel in Sopore, Baramulla town and other areas of the district to prevent people from staging anti-India demonstrations over the killings. The authorities also suspended mobile and Internet services and announced closure of educational institutions in many areas of north Kashmir. »

Abid Hamid Mir and two other youth were killed by Indian troops during a siege and search operation in Amargarh area of Sopore, today. »

Srinagar, August 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and activists held a protest demonstration at Maisuma in Srinagar, today, against the surge in killings and raids by India’s National Investigation Agency on the residences of Hurriyat leaders.

The joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik had called for peaceful protests against the harassment of Hurriyat leaders by NIA. »

Srinagar, August 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leader, Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi, has said that Indian news channels are running anti-Kashmir programmes and vitiating atmosphere in India against the Kashmiri people.

Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi in an interview in Srinagar refuted the allegations of an English Indian news channel which had reported that he had amassed property disproportionate to his income. »

Srinagar, August 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that people of Kashmir are being subjected to all kinds of oppression and even religious places are a target of this repression.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who continues to remain under house arrest, addressing a public gathering over phone in Srinagar said, another front that has been opened by Indian authorities is through their investigating agencies and media to malign Kashmiris’ freedom movement, defame Hurriyat leadership and demoralize the Kashmiri people. »

Srinagar, August 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed in Islamabad town on the 2nd consecutive day, today, against the killing of two youth Indian troops, the other day.

The troops had killed the youth, Yawar Nissar and Ghulam Mohiuddin Butt, during a cordon and search operation at Kanelwan in Bijbehara area of the district on Thursday late night. »

Srinagar, August 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, at least three youth were injured after Indian army opened fire on protesters in Bandipora district, today.

The injured have been identified as Hilal Ahmed Wani, Latief Ahmed Khan and Suhail Ahmed Butt from Saderkoot Bala. All the injured have been shifted to Soura Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar for treatment. »
