Srinagar, July 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has strongly denounced the unrelenting restrictions on the movement of its Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, who completed seven years under continued house arrest, today.

The APHC in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the puppet authorities had confined Syed Ali Gilani to his residence on gunpoint since 2010 and never produced any written order or court ruling regarding his house arrest.

Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir held a forceful demonstration in Hyderpora area of Srinagar, today, demanding an end to the curbs on Syed Ali Gilani. The protesters raised high-pitched anti-India and pro-freedom slogans. »

Srinagar July 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, APHC General Secretary and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, has termed the statement of India’s External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj on Kashmir as arrogant.

Shabbir Ahmad Shah in a statement issued in Srinagar said, on one hand New Delhi talks about dialogue with Pakistan and on the other is repeating the rhetoric on the disputed status of Kashmir. “If Sushma Swaraj terms Kashmir as integral part of India, then why New Delhi is going to talk with Islamabad. And if Kashmir is a disputed territory, then why is India scared of taking all the stakeholders on dialogue table,” he added. »

Srinagar July 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities did not allow congregational Friday prayers, today, at the Srinagar’s historic Jamia Masjid for the fourth consecutive week.

All gates of Jamia Masjid were locked by the Indian forces while all roads leading to the historic mosque were blocked with concertina wires.

Curfew was imposed in the area to prevent people from assembling at the mosque. »

New Delhi, July 14 (KMS): Indian Ministry of Home Affairs has revealed that nearly 50 percent of total 186 rights violations complaints have been received from occupied Kashmir over last four years.

In reply to a Right to Information (RTI) application by Common Wealth Human Right Initiative (CHRI), the Home Ministry’s data indicates that Jammu and Kashmir accounted for almost 50 percent of the human rights violations complaints in various categories under Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA). »

United Nations, July 14 (KMS): The UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, has reiterated the need for India and Pakistan to find a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute through engagement and dialogue, his spokesperson said.

Antonio Guterres’ spokesperson, Stephane Dujarric’s remarks came when he was asked if the Secretary General is paying attention to the situation in the region or “we are just waiting for some sort of big tragedy to occur for the Secretary General to take attention.” »

Srinagar, July 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed in Pulwama town, today, to protest against the use of brute force on protesters by Indian troops.

A youth was hit by a bullet after the troops of Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) opened fire to disperse protesters in the town, yesterday.

Obaid Ahmad was hit in his left leg when the troops resorted to indiscriminate firing on the protesters. »
