Srinagar, July 12 (KMS): Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and the world over will observe Kashmir Martyrs’ Day, tomorrow, as the day of renewal of the pledge that they will continue the mission of their martyrs till the achievement of the inalienable right to self-determination.

The day will be marked by complete shutdown and a march towards Naqashband Sahib in Srinagar where martyrs of 1931 are buried. Call for the observance of the day has been given by the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik. »

Srinagar, July 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has thanked the members of Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for their continuous support to the right to self-determination of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

As per a statement issued by the Hurriyat forum in Srinagar, the Mirwaiz had written a letter to the OIC Secretary General, Dr Yousuf Al-Othaimeen which was read by Syed Faiz Naqshbandi at the 44th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers held in Abidjan city of Cote D’Ivore. The Mirwaiz also thanked the OIC for invitation and expressed his regret for not being able to attend the summit due to non-availability of travel documents. »

Srinagar, July 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, out of deep-rooted passion for humanity, Kashmiri youth thronged district hospital Islamabad to donate blood for unregistered Hindu yatris, injured in a suspicious attack, believed to be orchestrated by Indian agencies at Batengoo in the district on Monday evening. Seven yatris were killed in the attack.

The locals assembled outside the hospital in a large number, and returned only after doctors at the hospital told them that there was no more need of blood. »

Srinagar, July 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the members of High Court Bar Association, today, abstained from the court work in protest against the killing, maiming and blinding of innocent Kashmiris and the reign of terror let loose by Indian occupational forces in the territory.

The members condemned the use of force against peaceful protestors at Hyderpora, Eidgah, Nowhatta, Habba Kadal, Soura, Khanyar and other areas of the territory for peacefully demonstrating against the killing of innocent civilians in fake encounters. »

The youth identified as Aaqib Gul, Javaid Ahmad Shiekh and Sajjad Ahmad Gilkar were martyred in a night-long violent operation of Indian forces in Radbugh village of Badgam district, last night. Aaqib and Sajjad belonged to Srinagar while Tafazul Islam alias Javid Sheikh hailed from Beerwah area of Badgam district. The killings triggered spontaneous shutdown in Srinagar and Badgam areas. Clashes erupted between youth and Indian forces’ personnel on the Airport road in Srinagar. Youth hurled rocks on the police and paramilitary personnel. The troops fired teargas shells on the protesting youth. »
