Srinagar, July 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops, in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred three Kashmiri youth in Kupwara district, today.

The troops killed the youth during a violent military operation in Naugam area of the district. The operation was going on till last reports came in.

Meanwhile, several people including two women were injured after Indian forces’ personnel fired teargas shells on protesters in Pantha Chhoke area of Srinagar, today. The protests erupted in the area after Indian paramilitary personnel thrashed a driver, Firdous Ahmad. The protests resulted in a massive traffic jam on Srinagar-Jammu highway, leaving thousands of vehicles stranded. »

Srinagar, July 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Kashmir Tehreek-e-Khawateen Chairperson, Zamruda Habib has strongly condemned the use of brute force against women by Indian forces in Shopian and Kupwara.

Zamruda Habib in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the use of pellets against women and uncivilized language was shameful act of Indian forces. »

Srinagar, July 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown, marked by anti-India demonstrations, was observed in Kulgam and Shopian, today, against the brutalities of Indian police and troops.

Scores of people held demonstrations at Naikpora in Kulgam against fresh police raids and arrests. The protesters said that the police raided many houses in the area during night and arrested six youth from their residences. They also said that the police ransacked household goods during the nocturnal raids. »

Srinagar, July 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyet forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has strongly condemned the continued harassment and pressure being put by India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) on not only those associated with the forum but extending it to the family members of the Mirwaiz and now to the institutions and organizations he is heading.

The forum spokesman in a statement in Srinagar said that the NIA had sent a notice to Ibraheem Shah, General Secretary of Anjuman Nusratul Islam, to report to New Delhi for the so-called questioning. He said, another notice has been served to Mohammad Hussain Khan, Accountant, Auqaf Jamia Masjid, also to report to NIA in New Delhi. »

Srinagar, July 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, legal experts while terming the Indian Presidential Order on Goods and Services Tax (GST) as constitutional deceit have said that the extending of the GST regime to the territory is a step towards surrendering the powers to Indian government, eroding whatever powers are left with Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 of Indian Constitution.

Prominent lawyer, Zafar Shah, in an interview said that the puppet administration’s claim that the presidential order was a constitutional victory was a lie and eyewash. He said, the puppet authorities have totally surrendered their tax powers with regards to goods and services to the Indian Parliament. »

Srinagar, July 10 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the illegally detained Chairman of Ummat-e-Islami (UeI), Qazi Ahmed Yasir, has said that mutilating the bodies of youth during siege and search operations by Indian forces is an inhumane act.

The UeI spokesman quoted Qazi Ahmed Yasir as saying that Indian forces on one side claim to be disciplined however their actions counter that very narrative. »
