Srinagar, July 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, who is languishing in Srinagar, central jail since July 3, 2017, was today brought to Khyber Hospital, Srinagar for some necessary medical checkups.

According to Kashmir Media Service, besides various blood tests, doctors took his ultrasound and other tests to examine the condition of his kidneys as he has been diagnosed of having multiple stones in both of his kidneys. »

Srinagar, July 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik has condemned curfew and other restrictions, imposed by Indian authorities across the territory on the first martyrdom anniversary of popular youth leader, Burhan Muzaffar Wani.

The resistance leadership in a joint statement issued in Srinagar said that India had turned Jammu and Kashmir into a war zone. They maintained that blanket ban and gags on Internet, suspension of rail and road links, deployment of forces at every nook and corner, arrests and detentions, raids on houses and harassment of inmates were an acknowledgment that martyr Burhan Wani was still alive in hearts of Kashmiris and was a threat to the occupation regime. The leadership appealed to the people to throng the residences of martyrs, tomorrow, and participate in an online Kashmir Awareness Campaign on Tuesday as part of weeklong protest calendar. »

Srinagar, July 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir complete shutdown was observed in Trehgam area of Kupwara district on the third consecutive day, today, against the highhandedness of Indian army and police.

Locals said that forces threw stones on glass panes of a Jamia Masjid when protests had erupted following Friday prayers. Traffic was off the roads and shops remained shut. »

Srinagar, July 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the youth in occupied Kashmir, particularly the resident of Pulwama and Shopian districts have said that troops frequently check their personal mobile phones, without even assigning any reason.

The residents also complain that they are beaten “if by mistake any photo or a video of a resistance leader or activist stored in their mobile phones”. »

Srinagar, July 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a Central Reserve Police Force constable was injured in a grenade attack on a CRPF camp in Tral area of Pulwama district, police said today.

Police said that a UBGL grenade was fired at a joint camp of CRPF and police at Aribal in Tral town late night.

The injured was shifted to a hospital for treatment.
