Srinagar, July 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, four youth were hospitalized on Saturday after they were beaten up by Indian troops outside the home of popular youth leader Burhan Wani on his martyrdom anniversary in Tral town of Pulwama district.

The injured, who were shifted to Sub-district hospital Tral said they were ruthlessly beaten up by army men outside Burhan Wani’s home. “They kicked and punched us. They also beat us up with lathis and chopped our hair,” said an injured youth. »

Srinagar, July 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, APHC General Secretary and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Shabbir Ahmad Shah has said that people’s love for Burhan Wani is a referendum against India.

Shabbir Ahmad Shah in a statement issued in Srinagar strongly condemned the deployment of additional forces in Valley, imposing of undue restrictions on people’s movement and arrest of resistance leaders and activists on the first anniversary of Burhan Wani and his two associates. »

Srinagar, July 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, tens of thousands of Indian soldiers and police personnel patrolled deserted streets across the territory, today, to enforce strict curfew and other restrictions on the first martyrdom anniversary of popular youth leader, Burhan Muzaffar Wani.

The troops had drawn warning lines on the roads with the directions that those who would cross these lines would be shot dead. However, people flouting warning came out of their houses in many areas and staged anti-India protests. They raised pro-Pakistan, pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. Pro-freedom songs were also played on loudspeakers from mosques. Crippling strike was held all across the Kashmir Valley, Bhadarwah and other parts of Jammu region.

The troops had blocked roads with concertina wires to check pedestrian and vehicular movement. All roads leading to Tral, the hometown of Burhan Wani, were completely sealed with Army conducting flag march and warning people not to venture out from their houses to join protest rallies. »

Srinagar, July 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, dozens of civilians, including nine women, mostly with pellets, were injured when Indian troops used force on protesters outside a mosque in Reshi area of Shopian district.

The forces were trying to stop reverberating of pro-freedom songs being played on mosque loudspeakers in the town. Police fired pellets on people to stop them from advancing. “Nine women were injured in police action. One of wounded women has been referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment as she is feared to have received pellets in her eye.” »

Srinagar, July 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, eminent religious scholar and the Chairman of Ummat-e-Islami, Qazi Yasir was arrested while going towards Tral from Pampore.

He was arrested near Awantipora by a joint team of police and Central Reserve Police Force.

Qazi Yasir had gone into a hiding after his house was raided couple of times after the killing of Bashir Ahmad Wani.

Muzaffarabad, July 08 (KMS): A mammoth rally was held in Muzaffarabad to mark the first martyrdom anniversary of popular youth leader, Burhan Muzaffar Wani.

Burhan Wani along with two associates was martyred by Indian troops in a fake encounter in Kokernag area of Islamabad district on July 8, last year. The rally was organized under the auspices of United Jihad Council which was participated by thousands of people who raised anti-India and pro-freedom slogans. »
