Brussels, July 07 (KMS): The Kashmir Council Europe (KC-EU) Chairman, Ali Raza Syed has paid glowing tribute to martyr Burhan Muzaffar Wani on eve of his first martyrdom anniversary.

Srinagar, July 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the leaders and activists of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) on Friday participated in prayers meetings organised across the Valley in memory of Shaheed Burhan Wani, his two associates, and 100 martyrs of 2016 and rich tributes were also paid to all the martyrs.

The DFP leaders and activists reiterated their pledge of taking the freedom struggle to its logical conclusion. »

Srinagar, July 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete strike will be observed, tomorrow, to commemorate the first martyrdom anniversary of popular youth leader, Burhan Muzaffar Wani.

The strike is part of a weeklong programme to pay tributes to the martyred leader, call for which has been given by the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik. They have appealed to the people to hold rallies at all district headquarters and elsewhere in the world where Kashmiris are residing.

Burhan Wani along with two associates was martyred by Indian troops in a fake encounter in Kokernag area of Islamabad district on July 8, last year. The killing triggered a mass uprising that continues till now. During the period, 156 civilian protesters have been killed, 19,456 have been injured and the eyesight of over 3,000 youth has been damaged by the pellets fired by Indian forces. »

Srinagar, July 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani expressed concern over the reports of using chemical weapons by forces personnel during siege and search operations.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar, referring to Bahmnoo Pulwama siege and search operation said that Indian forces were using chemical weapons against brave hearts, and added that it was serious violation of human norms and urged the international community to take cognizance and probe and look into the matter.

He said Indian forces during operations besiege a large area and the residential houses are blasted and raized to ground. »

Srinagar, July 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, it was the third consecutive Friday, today, that no Friday prayers were allowed at Kashmir’s historic Jamia Masjid, Srinagar.

Besides heavy deployment of Indian troops, all roads leading to the mosque in Srinagar were sealed with concertina wires while the gates of the mosque were locked with the aim to curb the thousands of devotees from offering weekly congregational prayers, a statement issued by Mirwaiz-led Hurriyat forum. »

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, also paid tributes to the martyrs of 13th July 1931 and thereafter adding that those brutally massacred during mass uprising in 2016 presented invaluable and exemplary sacrifices. »

Srinagar, July 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Anjuman Shari Shian has condemned the house arrest of its Chairman and senior leader of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) Agha Syed Hasan Al-Moosvi Al Safvi.

A spokesperson of Anjuman Shari Shian in a statement issued in Srinagar said that such tactics could not break the resolve of the people of Kashmir. He said that random arrests and curfew could not cow down the people of Kashmir and would continue their struggle till success. »
