Woman kidnapped by bike-borne men in Madhya Pradesh
Gwalior: A woman was kidnapped in broad daylight on Monday by two unidentified men in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior. The kidnapping was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the spot.
The video shows a man riding a bike waiting near a petrol pump, while another man is seen dragging a woman and forcibly making her sit on the back seat of the bike. The second man is then seen trying to also sit on the bike, but ends up chasing after the bike for some distance.
According to the woman’s family, they had arrived in Gwalior in the morning. After the family got off at the bus stop, the woman had taken a young child, who was travelling with them, to use a toilet near the petrol pump.
A family member said, “The child came running, saying somebody had taken his sister away…I saw a man running after the bike. The woman, who was not even sitting properly, was crying…the people near the petrol pump also heard her crying.”
The family immediately reported the abduction to the police.
According to Rishikesh Meena, the Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), the family had stopped at a petrol pump after getting off the bus. As they were unloading their belongings, the miscreants grabbed the woman and sped away on their motorcycle.
The entire incident was captured on CCTV footage from the petrol pump. The police, upon receiving the information, promptly initiated a search operation for the perpetrators.
“The CCTV footage obtained from the petrol pump clearly shows the abduction. We are working diligently to identify and apprehend the culprits,” Rishikesh Meena said.
