Auto drivers assaulted over posters criticising BJP’s Tejasvi Surya
Bengaluru: Auto drivers in Bengaluru were assaulted over posters criticising Tejasvi Surya of Bharatiya Janata Party.
Auto drivers displayed posters on their vehicles, opposing Tejasvi Surya’s support for carpooling. The posters label the BJP MP’s backing of carpooling as disgraceful.
Supporters of former BJP corporator Sangathi Venkatesh attacked the auto drivers, demanding the removal of the posters. Also, Venkatesh reportedly warned all auto drivers in the area against operating their vehicles and even threatened them with dire consequences, including death, if they did not remove the posters.
