APHC-AJK congratulates Pir Ali Raza Bukhari on appointment as SWHR representative to UN
Islamabad: A delegation of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter visited the office of former member of AJK Legislative Assembly, Pir Ali Raza Bukhari, in Islamabad.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the delegation members congratulated Pir Ali Raza Bukhari, the Sajjada Nasheen Dargah Basahan Sharif in Haveli (AJK), on his appointment as the permanent representative to the United Nations by the Pakistan Council for Social Welfare and Human Rights. The PCSW&HR is a civil society organization having consultative status with ECOSOC (United Nations Economic and Social Council).
The delegation members expressed the hope that Pir Ali Raza Bukhari would highlight on the international stage the human rights violations being perpetrated by Indian troops in occupied Jammu and Kashmir and advocate the right to self-determination for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Special prayer was also held for the Kashmiri martyrs on the occasion.
The delegation led by the Convener, Mahmood Ahmad Saghar, included Syed Yousuf Nasim, Sheikh Abdul Mateen, Imtiaz Wani, Nisar Mirza, Syed Aijaz Rehmani and Nazeer Karnai.
