Rich tributes paid to Allama Muhammad Iqbal (RA)
Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders and organizations have paid glowing tributes to the Poet of the East, Allama Muhammad Iqbal (RA), on his birth anniversary.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC leaders and organizations including Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Abdul Ahad, Yasmeen Raja, Farida Bahenji, Fayyaz Hussain Jafari, Syed Sibte Shabbir Qummi, Syed Bashir Andrabi, Khawaja Firdous, Muhammad Shafi Lone, Advocate Arshad Iqbal, Maulana Musaib Nadvi, Muhammad Aaqib, Jammu and Kashmir Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, and Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference in their statements issued in Srinagar said that Allama Iqbal (RA) had fully supported the people of Kashmir in their struggle against the Dogra regime and encouraged them through his poetry.
They said that Jammu and Kashmir was a part of the motherland of Muslims for which Allama Iqbal (RA) had dreamt. They added that the people of Kashmir are engaged in a peaceful struggle to secure their right to self-determination and they would take their freedom movement to its logical conclusion despite all odds.
Meanwhile, APHC-AJK chapter Convener, Mehmood Ahmad Saghar, and other leaders including Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Syed Faiz Naqashbandi, Shaikh Abdul Mateen, Shameema Shawl, Imtiyaz Wani, Syed Aijaz Rehmani, Syed Manzoor Ahmad Shah, Shaikh Muhammad Yaqoob, Altaf Hussain Wani, Altaf Ahmad Butt and Manzoor Ahmed Dar in their statements issued in Islamabad also paid homage to Allama Muhammad Iqbal (RA) on his birth anniversary.
