Assam HC rejects plea to provide Namaz space at Guwahati Airport
Guwahati: The High Court of the Indian state of Assam, expressing its biased mentality, has rejected the request to provide a separate place for passengers to offer Namaz at the Guwahati airport.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Chief Justice Sandeep Mehta and Justice Sushmata Khand said if there is no separate room for prayer, what will be the harm to the society?
The judges said what is the public interest in this? The Chief Justice during the hearing said what is the matter of the fundamental right in this case?
The petitioner said that the timing of some flights is such that it is prayer time for Muslims. On this, the Chief Justice said that if it is so, then you should take the flight according to your convenience and take the flight after you pray.
