Posters seeking killing of Indian envoys still up outside gurdwara in Canada
Surrey: Over three months after Sikh leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar’s killing in Surrey, Canada, posters calling for the killing of Indian diplomats are still up outside a gurdwara.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the posters were put up after Nijjar was killed by unidentified men on June 18 this year.
The poster reads ‘assassination wanted’ with three Indian diplomats’ photos. Nijjar’s face is also on the poster.
A diplomatic row erupted after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau recently said “potential” involvement of Indian agents in the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
India also announced suspending issuance of visas to Canadian citizens and asked Ottawa to downsize its diplomatic presence in the country.
