The girl was not able to tell us exactly where she was from. But her accent suggests she is from Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh, he added.
The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) issued a notice to Ujjain Police over the minor’s rape.
The panel sought details of the initial report filed by police and asked them to comply with the guidelines mentioned in the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
NCPCR chairperson Priyank Kanoongo said that the most unfortunate part of the incident was that for so many hours nobody stepped up to help the minor. This reveals a dark side of society, the NCPCR chairperson said.
