Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has said that it is time to expose the ugly face of the so-called democratic India before the world.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC leaders including Khawaja Firdous, Syed Bashir Andrabi, Muhammad Shafi Lone and Imtiyaz Reshi in their separate statements issued in Srinagar said Kashmir dispute warrants immediate attention at the ongoing 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.

They said the UN is morally and legally bound to help settle the lingering Kashmir dispute as per its resolutions, adding that it is time for the World Body to give up its silence on what is happening in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The APHC leaders said more inaction on the part of the UN will further embolden the Modi regime to continue its brutal acts in the occupied territory. How many more killing fields in Kashmir will it take for the UN to wake up from its slumber? they questioned.

They said Modi is attempting to obliterate the distinct Kashmiri identity by altering the demography of IIOJK. They said now is the time for the UN to act and save the Kashmiris from Indian onslaught, adding it is the time for the UN to implement its resolutions on Kashmir as settlement of the Kashmir dispute.

The Hurriyat leaders said the UN should take steps to address the humanitarian crisis in the occupied territory as no permanent peace in South Asia is possible until Kashmir dispute is resolved on the basis of UN resolutions.

The world must prosecute Modi and the Indian military for their crimes against humanity in IIOJK, they maintained.
