Indo-Canada tension leads to cancellation of Canadian singer Shubhneet Singh’s India tour

New Delhi : Amid the ongoing Indo-Canada tension, Book My Show, an Indian online ticketing service for cinemas, theaters, and sports,  has canceled Canadian singer Shubhneet Singh’s ‘Still Rollin Tour for India’ after massive trolling of the 26-year-old singer.

Book My Show on Wednesday wrote to X: “Singer Shubhneet Singh’s Still Rollin Tour for India stands cancelled. To that end, Book My Show has initiated a complete refund of the ticket amount for all consumers who had purchased tickets for the show. The refund will be reflected within 7-10 working days in the customer’s source account of the original transaction”.

Indian Public in large numbers started a #UninstallBookMyShow trend on the social media platform X with some calling Shubh, as the singer is labeled as, a ‘Khalistani’ and supporter of separate Sikh land in Indian-governed Punjab.

Earlier, Consumer electronics company Boat announced that it would withdraw sponsorship of Canada-based Punjabi singer Shubh’s upcoming tour to India.

“At boAt, while our commitment to the incredible music community runs deep, we are first and foremost a true Indian brand. Therefore, when we became aware of the remarks made by artist Shubh earlier this year, we chose to withdraw our sponsorship from the tour,” the company said in a post on social media platform X.
