Four dead after landslide rolls down truck in Ramban
Srinagar: Four persons died in a road accident on Srinagar-Jammu highway in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The incident took place after a truck hit by a boulder slide on Srinagar-Jammu highway in Banihal area of Ramban district on Tuesday, officials said.
A traffic official said that the truck heading towards the Kashmir valley was hit by a big slide of rocks near Sliad Sherbibi, pushing it into a gorge. However, all four occupants were killed on the spot.
The police said that the highway was blocked after the slide. However, restoration work is underway, he added.
