Srinagar: In what proves to be rising desertion trend alongside suicides among Indian armed forces, a soldier of Indian paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF) who went missing from his duty in occupied Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Friday has been traced to his home in Bihar, two days after he was reported missing.
The BSF man had gone missing from his duty near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district, officials said on Sunday.
The trooper was reported to be missing from his post in Bharani, Balakote sector, on Friday.
The BSF then filed a missing person report with the local police, officials said.
A police officer informed that the missing trooper was found at his home in Bihar on Sunday and the necessary action has been taken.
