AJK PM says Pakistan always extends support for Kashmir cause

Islamabad: Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, has said that Pakistan has always extended its political, moral and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people in their just struggle for right to self-determination.

The AJK Prime Minister talking to media in Islamabad said the ultimate goal of Kashmiris’ struggle is to join Pakistan. He said India has miserably failed in attempts to malign the Kashmiris’ just and legitimate struggle for the right to self-determination.

He said, “The barbaric and brutal occupation of IIOJK by India not only violates international law, but also makes a mockery of the globally accepted norms of fundamental rights and freedoms. The international community can no longer remain silent while India continues to perpetrate its oppression in Kashmir.”

Chaudhry Anwarul Haq said, despite more than seven decades of Indian occupation, including four painful years of continuous military siege and media blackout, India has failed to silence the voices of the brave Kashmiri people, whose just freedom struggle has further intensified. He said, three successive generations of innocent Kashmiris have sacrificed their lives and liberties but courageously continued to defy the increasing coercion of the Indian occupation forces.

The AJK Prime Minister maintained that Pakistan Army Chief, General Syed Asim Munir’s recent statement has raised the morale of Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control.
