Anjuman Auqaf Jamia Masjid Srinagar condoles demise of Maulana Syed Ahmad Farooqi
Srinagar: Anjuman Auqaf Jamia Masjid Srinagar has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Maulana Syed Ahmad Farooqi, the former Imam and Khateeb of Dargah Hazratbal, who passed away on Monday after a brief illness.
The Anjuman in a statement paid tribute to the deceased Imam for his religious services and leading prayers at Dargah Hazratbal.
The Auqaf on behalf of the organisation and its incarcerated Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq described Maulana Farooqi as a moral, amiable and noble person, and expressed heartfelt condolences and sympathy to his family members. It also prayed to Allah Almighty to accept the good deeds of the deceased and grant him Jannat-ul-Firdous.
Meanwhile, a delegation of Anjuman Auqaf Jamia Masjid Srinagar visited the bereaved family and expressed condolence and solidarity on behalf of the organisation and its leadership.
