Muzaffarabad: Speakers at a seminar, today, paid glowing tributes to the leading leader of Kashmir freedom movement, Najamuddin Khan, on his death anniversary.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the seminar was organized by the monthly Kashmir Al-Youm and Okja, which was presided over by Editor-in-Chief of Kashmir Al-Youm Sheikh Muhammad Amin.
The speakers said the entire family of Najmuddin Khan is an embodiment of sacrifices, adding the deceased’s father, Qamaruddin Khan, who was the elder brother of the well-known leader of the Kashmir freedom movement, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, faced immense suffering and atrocities for the freedom struggle.
They said Abdul Qayyum Khan, the elder brother of Najmuddin Khan, a resident of Takipora Lolab, has also been martyred by Indian troops. Najamuddin Khan had migrated to Azad Jammu and Kashmir in 1993 due to the atrocities of Indian soldiers and died on August 24, 2022 in Muzaffarabad.
The speakers said Najamuddin Khan’s services in the Kashmir freedom movement can never be forgotten.
They also paid tributes to All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter leaders Advocate Mushtaq Ahmed Wani and Dr Abdul Aila on their anniversaries.
They also paid tribute to Nisar Hussain Rather, All Parties Hurriyat Conference and the patron of Tehreek Wahdat Islami, who died three days ago in Srinagar.
Mohiuddin Dar, Habibullah Sheikh, Nayeem Al Asad, Abdul Lateef Dar, Maqsood Sufi, Mohammad Rafiq, Abuzar Shaukat Ali, Furqan Elahi, Dr Bilal, Haider Ali, Shajar Khan and others participated in the seminar.
