The ceremony commemorated the great sacrifices of the martyrs of Badr and the sincere sacrifices of the expounder of the Mufassir-e-Qur’an Mirwaiz Moulana Yusuf Shah, and paid rich tribute to them.

On the occasion, the participants expressed deep regret and concern over the nearly four-year-long illegal detention of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and demanded his immediate release in view of the holy month of Ramadan.

The latest edition of the popular general commentary “Bayan-ul-Furqan” by the late Mirwaiz Yusuf Shah, which was published in two volumes in standard style by Ali Muhammad & Sons, was also released.
