Kashmir solution imperative for durable peace in region: Speakers

Muzaffarabad, April 01 (KMS): The speakers of a seminar organized in Muzaffarabad have said that the solution of the Kashmir dispute is imperative for durable peace and development in South Asia but India’s stubbornness is the only obstacle in the settlement of the long-pending dispute.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Hurriyat leader Tanveer-ul-Islam in his address at the seminar titled “Pak-Kashmir Relations and Indian Ambitions” said the Kashmiri people will never give up their historic struggle for freedom from the illegal Indian occupation.

After failing to break the determination and courage of the people, now India is trying to weaken their heartfelt commitment and ideological connection with Pakistan, but the conscious people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir will foil the Indian attempt.

He said that Kashmiris consider Pakistan as their benefactor and advocate and they are grateful to Pakistan for its full political, diplomatic and moral support in the struggle for self-determination.

Syed Arif Bahar, president of Pak Kashmir Solidarity Council and well-known columnist, while addressing the seminar, said that the great sacrifices of the Kashmiris will bring fruit and they will get freedom from the illegal Indian occupation one day.

He added that Kashmiris and Pakistanis were connected in eternal relations and Indian conspiracies could never destroy these relations. He said that India is trying to convert the majority of Muslims into a minority in the occupied territory but would never succeed.

Syed Arif Bahar said that the list of negative intentions of India is very long, which must be thwarted by Pakistan through its diplomatic efforts.
