Army Chief General Syed Asim Muneer’s statement, which he gave during his visit to AJK and LOC, that reads “The world must ensure justice and deliver what is promised to the Kashmiri people as per UN resolution” is moral boosting for the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The statement on Kashmir has not only boosted the morale of the people of IIOJK, but also refuted the recent propaganda paddled by a section of Indian media that the Kashmir dispute has not been a top priority, for now. It further maintained that Pakistan would never leave Kashmiri brethren in the lurch in any circumstances and will continue to support the Kashmir cause through thick and thin.
The army chief further said,”India would never succeed in its nefarious designs and any misadventure would be responded to befittingly,” Syed Asim Muneer.
“Let me make it categorically clear; Pakistan’s armed forces are ever-ready, not only to defend every inch of our motherland, but also to take the fight back to the enemy, if ever, war is imposed on us,” the Army Chief added.
Political experts say the statement of Pakistan Army Chief that “Indian state will never be able to achieve her nefarious designs. The world must ensure justice and deliver what is promised to the Kashmiri people as per the UN resolutions,” are a message to India that it cannot weaken the Kashmiris’ right to self determination movement through its military occupation and brutalities. They said that the messages spread through posters have well explained the Kashmiris’ demand for freedom from Indian illegal occupation.
People praised the Army Chief for courageously raising the demand before the international community to ensure justice and deliver what is promised to the Kashmiris as per relevant UN resolutions.
India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh who in September 2022 gave ridiculous statements on AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan that also represent New Delhi’s expansionist mindset and hostility towards its neighbours.
Jammu and Kashmir is the legacy of the Two Nation Theory, which was the basis of the Partition Plan of the subcontinent in 1947, and settlement of the Kashmir dispute on this basis will only guarantee peace, political stability in South Asia. The settlement will also satisfy the sacrifices of people of Jammu and Kashmir and souls of martyrs and thus fulfill the dream of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Quaid-e-Hurriyet-e-Kashmir Syed Ali Gilani.
India’s illegal and military occupation in October 1947 was against the sentiments and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The continued Indian rigid and anti-Kashmir policy added to the miseries, atrocities, brutalities and injustice in occupied Kashmir Jammu and Kashmir.
Jammu and Kashmir dispute must be settled as soon as possible in the interest of humanity, peace and prosperity of the South Asian region as India’s policy of negation will only be a recipe for pain, misery and disaster.
