Sydney, March 17 (KMS): Balesh Dhankar, a prominent activist of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who welcomed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Australia, was arrested in Sydney on charges of rape.
Balesh Dhankar was among those who organized the Indian Prime Minister’s reception in Sydney in 2014.
He was also associated with the Hindu Council of Australia in the past. Apart from rape, there are also allegations of filming objectionable scenes against him.
