India’s intransigence on Kashmir dispute has endangered peace in S. Asia: APHC

Srinagar, March 11 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that India’s intransigence on the Kashmir dispute has endangered the peace of entire South Asia.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar strongly denounced the IIOJK Hindutva Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha’s baseless claim that Azad Kashmir is an integral part of India. He said Jammu and Kashmir is a UN-mandated disputed territory whose future is to be decided by the Kashmiris through a plebiscite supervised by the world body.

The spokesman said, “Indian leaders’ belligerent rhetoric is imperiling regional peace and security. IIOJK Hindutva governor’s baseless claim about AJK is another indication that India poses threat to regional peace and security.” He said Manoj Sinha’s groundless claims can neither change the historical facts nor Kashmir’s disputed status, adding that the Indian military and Hindutva leaders’ irresponsible remarks about AJK are only stoking flames of war in the region.

The APHC spokesman said that India was using strong-arm tactics to crush the Kashmiris’ legitimate struggle for securing their right to self-determination but would never succeed in its nefarious designs. He pointed out that fascist Narendra Modi’s muscular and undemocratic measures pose a serious threat to regional as well as global peace and security. He, however, maintained that Modi must remember that permanent peace in South Asia is linked to a just settlement of Kashmir dispute.

The spokesman urged the international community to put pressure on India to settle the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations and the relevant UN resolutions.
