Srinagar, March 07 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the house of veteran journalist and former bureau head of London based news agency, Reuters, Sheikh Mushtaq, was destroyed in a suspicious incident of devastating fire in Srinagar on Tuesday.
People close to the family said that the fire appeared in the first floor of the house at around 9 am in Indra Nagar area of the city.
The family, housing in the ground floor, was alerted by the neighbours, who helped in dousing the flames. “The first floor and the attic were completely damaged,” said a family member.
It is worth mentioning here that another London based media outlet, the British Broadcasting Corporation, is facing raids by India’s Income Tax department on its offices in New Delhi and Mumbai apparently for making a documentary on Narendra Modi’s role in massacre of Gujarat Muslims in 2002.
