Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed on the occasion emphasized the need to highlight at the international level the grave human rights violations and heinous crimes being perpetrated by Indian troops in IIOJK so that the real face of India is exposed. He said the people of Pakistan stand with their Kashmiri brethren and Pakistan will continue its political, diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmiris’ just struggle for right to self-determination.

Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed said India has stepped up its attempts to change the demographic composition of IIOJK and has issued about 45 lac domiciles to settle the Indian Hindus in the territory. They said Kashmiri leadership has been put in jails while extrajudicial killings, arrests and violence against Kashmiri youth have become a routine matter in the territory. They said India is hell bent upon destroying the identity and culture of Kashmiris. However, they maintained that New Delhi will never succeed in suppressing the freedom spirit of the Kashmiri people.

The delegation included Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Sheikh Abdul Mateen, Muhammad Rafiq Dar, Haji Sultan Butt, Syed Ejaz Rehmani, Raja Khadim Hussain, Zahid Safi, Syed Mushtaq, Adeel Mushtaq Wani and Imtiaz Wani.
