Anti-India demonstration held in Muzaffarabad

Muzaffarabad, February 24 (KMS): An anti-India protest demonstration was held in Muzaffarabad, today, to draw the attention of the international community towards the Indian brutalities in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The demonstration was organized by Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir on the completion of 1300 days of illegal and inhumane actions taken by the Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government on August 5, 2019 in the occupied territory. The Modi regime had repealed the special status of IIOJK on that day.

The protesters carried banners and placards with slogans rejecting India’s illegal occupation over Jammu and Kashmir and condemning the August 5, 2019 actions of the Modi government.

Speakers on the occasion said India has not only illegally occupied the territory of Jammu and Kashmir but is repeatedly destroying the peace of the entire region by taking illegal moves. They said with the abrogation of special status of IIOJK, the Modi regime not only violated the UN resolutions but Hindutva ideologists usurped all basic rights of the people of the occupied territory.

The speakers urged the UN Security Council, OIC and world human rights organizations to force India to rescind the illegal actions it took on and after August 5, 2019 and resolve the Kashmir dispute by giving the Kashmiris their right to self-determination.

The speakers included Pasban-e-Hurriyat Chairman Uzair Ahmad Ghazali, Hurriyat leader Mushtaqul Islam, Raja Muhammad Aslam Khan, Shaukat Javed Mir, Dr Muhammad Manzoor, Usman Ali Hashim, Syed Sultan Pirzada, Yasir Naqvi, Muhammad Rafi Karnai, Riaz Awan, Muhammad Fayyaz Khan and Liaquat Ali Rana.

Later, the protesters took out a march from Central Press Club to Garhi Pan Chowk, chanting high-pitched anti-India slogans.
