Srinagar, February 08 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference has paid glowing tributes to the prominent Kashmiri leaders, Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru, on the eve of their martyrdom anniversaries.
Illegally detained senior APHC leader, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, in a message from New Delhi’s infamous Tihar Jail said, the Kashmiris have been rendering unparallel sacrifices in their just struggle for securing their right to self-determination for the last over seven decades. He said the Kashmiri martyrs’ sacrifices, which have entre-staged the Kashmir dispute at the global level, will not be allowed to go waste. He said that the best way to pay homage to Maqbool Butt, Afzal Guru and other martyrs is to carry forward their mission.
Another illegally detained senior APHC leader, Molvi Bashir Irfani, in a message from Srinagar Central Jail said the history of sacrifices rendered by the Kashmiri people and leaders for the right to self-determination is so glorious that it cannot be forgotten. He said that the Kashmiri were determined to accomplish the mission of their martyrs at all costs.
Other APHC leaders including Chaudhry Shaheen Iqbal, Ghulam Nabi War and Hakeem Abdul Rasheed in a joint statement said Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Afzal Guru are the heroes of Kashmiris. They reiterated the demand to hand over the mortal remains of the two martyrs to the people of Kashmir so that they can be accorded proper burial.
