IIOJK authorities issue avalanche warning for 10 districts

Srinagar, January 30 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the authorities have issued an avalanche warning for ten districts of the territory.

The Disaster Management Authority of the territory in a statement warned of possible ‘High Danger Level’ avalanches above 2500 metres above sea-level over Doda, Kishtwar and Poonch districts.

Similarly, the Disaster Manager Authority has expressed its apprehension of ‘Medium’ Danger Level above 2500 metres over Bandipora, Baramulla, Ganderbal, Kupwara, Kulgam and Ramban, reads the advisory.

Avalanche with ‘Low Danger Level’ is likely to occur above 1500 metres over Islamabad district, it said.

It advised the people living in the notified areas to remain guarded.
