Congress Chief Kharge blames Modi govt for Betraying Ladakh people

New Delhi, January 24 (KMS): Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has blamed the Modi government for betraying the people of Ladakh region of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir by not agreeing to their demands.

Hinting at the grave threat from China to India in the disputed region, Mallikarjun Kharge said that by not agreeing to their demands, the Modi regime is endangering, what he said, India’s national security in a strategic border region, Ladakh.

“Narendra Modi ji, your government has deceitfully betrayed them, despite making tall promises,” he said.

Meanwhile, Sonam Wangchuk, Magsaysay award winner, motivational speaker, engineer, innovator and education reformist is distraught with the damage being caused to the fragile environment of his native place, Ladakh.

He recently posted a video message to Modi saying ‘All is not well with Ladakh’. In the video clip, Wangchuk makes a strong case for inclusion of Ladakh in the 6th schedule urging Modi and Amit Shah to take part in the talks regarding the region’s future.

He said that he would keep a fast from January 26, Republic Day, for five days to raise the issue further and “not from the comfort of a shelter but out in the winter chills”.

“If I survive, I will see you,” he says while signing off.
