Moosvi condoles death of Kashmiri poet Rehman Rahi

Srinagar, January 09 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference senior leader Agha Syed Hasan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi has expressed grief and sorrow over the tragic death of noted Kashmiri poet and Jnanpith awardee Rehman Rahi, who passed away in Srinagar, today.

Agha Syed Hasan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi in a statement issued in Srinagar paid tributes to the valuable literary services of the deceased and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.

He said that Professor Rehman Rahi was a poet of unique thought and tone who not only gave a new dimension to Kashmiri poetry but also always strived for the development and promotion of Kashmiri language.

Agha Syed Hasan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi said that in the literary history of Kashmir, the name of the deceased would be written in golden letters.

He prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
