Srinagar, December 24 (KMS): Senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar, has deplored that RSS-backed Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government has waged a full-fledged war against the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to suppress their just struggle for securing their internationally-recognized right to self-determination.
Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar in a statement issued in Srinagar said that besides over one million trigger happy troops, India is using its administration, parliament, probe bodies, intelligence agencies, communal media and biased judiciary to victimize the Kashmiris and intimidate them into submission.
“Indian troops are committing heinous crimes like killings, brutal torture, burning of properties, random arrest and molestation of women to punish Kashmiris for demanding their right to self-determination. In addition to that, different laws have been introduced to deprive the Kashmiris of their unique identity, culture, religion and above all their land. India is using Israeli tactics to snatch the land of Kashmiris and make them aliens in their own land,” he said.
The APHC leader warned that confiscating of properties of Kashmiris on different pretexts and amendment in land laws are the conspiracies to occupy land and deprive the local people of their livelihood and resources. However, he said that all Indian oppressive methods and conspiracies, have failed to subdue the Kashmiris’ resolve for freedom and they are committed to continue their struggle till complete success.
Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar said Kashmiri diaspora and Pakistan, which is effectively advocating the Kashmir cause, must expedite their efforts to apprise the world about emerging threat of Hindutva terrorism. “If urgent and effective measures are not taken to check Hindutva terrorism it will prove catastrophic for humanity. So, the world community must act before it is too late,” he added.
Meanwhile, APHC-AJK chapter leaders, Imtiyaz Wani and Muhammad Sultan Butt, in their statements in Islamabad said that India’s hegemonic and expansionist designs posed serious threat to regional as well as global peace. He said those nations which believe in supremacy of humanity and human rights must pay heed to the emerging threat and come forward and save the humanity from Hindutva terror.
They appealed to the international community to play its role in resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations and relevant UN resolutions for ensuring permanent peace in the region.
