Islamabad, December 19 (KMS): Glowing tributes were paid to prominent leader of Kashmir freedom movement, Raees-ul-Ahrar Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas, on his 54th death anniversary.
December 18 was observed with full solemnity and reverence and renewal of pledge to continue the pioneer’s leader mission till the liberation of the occupied Kashmir from the forced and unlawful occupation of India.
The Convener of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, Mahmood Ahmad Saghar in a statement in Islamabad described Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas as a shining star of Kashmir’s freedom movement. He said that accession of Jammu and Kashmir to Pakistan was the mission of Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas for which he struggled till his last breath.
He said, Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas from the earliest days of his youth, worked tirelessly for freedom of the Muslims of the subcontinent, especially the Kashmiris, from the oppression of the British and the Dogras. He played an important role in the Kashmir freedom movement and remained committed to this mission.
Mehmood Ahmed Saghar reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to continue the struggle for right to self-determination till it reached its logical conclusion.
