Protest demos against anti-people policies of IIOJK’s authorities

Srinagar, December 08 (KMS): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, people held protest demonstrations against the authorities’ anti-people policies in Baramulla and different areas of Jammu.

Sarpanches and Panchs of nine panchayat halqas of Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district held a protest against Chairman, Block Development Council (BDC), Uri, Mohammad Rafiq Balote, over his failure to take up the developmental works and meet the expectations of the general public.

The protesters blocked the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad Road near Sub-District Hospital, Uri, for around two hours. They were chanting slogans against the authorities.

Similarly, people from Khour, Pallanwala and neighbouring areas staged a protest demonstration against the Health Department demanding posting of specialist doctors in Community Health Centre (CHC), Khour.

Scores of people from village Khour, Pallanwala, Joguwan and other neighbouring villages assembled outside Press Club, Jammu and raised slogans against the Health authorities.

The protesters demanded of the authorities to post at least a child specialist, orthopaedician and ophthalmologist in CHC, Khour, as patients of these specialities from the area have to cover 60-100 kilometres to reach Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, and get medical treatment.
