Muslim vegetable seller loses legs after cops throw weighing scale on rail tracks in UP
Lucknow, December 04 (KMS): A young Muslim vegetable seller lost his legs after he was run over by a train while trying to retrieve his weighing scale that was thrown on the tracks by a policeman in Kanpur town of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
Eyewitnesses said 18-year-old Arsalan, a resident of Sahib Nagar area of Kanpur, was selling vegetables on the side of GT road when two policemen approached him. They said, the cops beat Arsalan after which head constable Rakesh threw his weighing scale on the tracks. They added that Arsalan hurried to retrieve the scales from the tracks and was hit by an oncoming train and his legs were severed.
In videos recorded by locals, the Muslim youth can be seen lying on the tracks and crying for help as two policemen carry him away.
