After food-delivery, Amazon shuts wholesale distribution business in India

New Delhi, November 30 (KMS): As global marketing companies are facing a hostile environment in India under Fascist Narendra Modi, Amazon has announced that it is discontinuing Amazon Distribution.

Amazon Distribution is company’s wholesale e-commerce website available to small neighbourhood stores in Bengaluru, Mysuru and Hubli. The website was designed to help small stores, pharmacies and department stores in India.

A spokesperson of the company in a statement said, “We don’t take these decisions lightly. We are discontinuing this program in a phased manner to take care of current customers and partners and we are supporting our affected employees during this transition.”

The e-commerce giant last week had said that it would be shutting its food-delivery business and online learning academy in India.

It is worth mentioning here that be international; marketing companies are facing a hostile environment in Modi’s India and most of them have started winding up there businesses in the country.
