Anti-India protest sit-in, rally held in Muzaffarabad

Muzaffarabad, November 16 (KMS): A protest sit-in and rally were held in Muzaffarabad, today, to denounce the Indian brutalities in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

A large number of people attended the sit-in and rally organized under the auspices of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir. They shouted slogans against India and in favour of Kashmir’s freedom from Indian illegal occupation.

The speakers on the occasion said that in gross violation of the UN resolutions, the Indian government revoked the special status of IIOJK and divided it into two union territories on August 5, 2019. They appealed to the United Nations Security Council and Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to play their role in ending the Indian military occupation of Jammu and Kashmir and holding of a referendum in the territory.

The speakers included Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmad Ghazali, Vice Chairman of International Forum for Justice Human Rights Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Vice Chairman of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Usman Ali Hashim, Peoples Party leader Shaukat Javed Mir, President of Human Rights Kashmir Bilal Ahmed Farooqui, social leader Javed Ahmed Mughal, refugee representatives Firdous Ahmad Jamali, Muhammad Aslam Inglabani and Tanveer Ahmed Durrani.

The protesters also took out a rally from Central Press Club to Shaheed Burhan Wani Chowk.
