Six killed as 6.3 magnitude earthquake jolts parts of Nepal, India

Kathmandu/ New Delhi, November 09 (KMS): At least six people were killed after an earthquake of 6.3 magnitude on the Richter scale hit parts of Nepal and India, early morning today.

A house collapsed in Doti district of Nepal due to the earthquake which occurred at around 1.57 am.

The Chief District Officer of Doti, Kalpana Shrestha, confirmed to the media the killing of at least six people and injuring of five others.

Strong tremors were also felt in several parts of India, including Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. However, there was no report of any loss of life, injury or damage.
