Three more PFI leaders booked under UAPA

New Delhi, October 19 (KMS): The police in the Indian state of Kerala have arrested three more leaders of Muslim organization, Popular Front of India, and booked them under draconian law, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

The arrested leaders of PFI are Shajahan, Ibrahim and Shefeed. They all belong to Anchangadi, Chavakkad in Thrissur district in Kerala.

The police alleged that the PFI leaders took out rallies soon after the ban was slapped on the organization therefore they have been arrested.

In September 2022, India’s dreaded National Investigation Agency (NIA) raided multiple locations across the country and arrested hundreds of PFI members. Later, the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs imposed a ban on PFI and eight organizations affiliated with it for five years.
