New Delhi, October 19 (KMS): In a shocking incident, a 40-year-old woman from Delhi was kidnapped, tortured and gang-raped by five men for two days in Ghaziabad city of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
The victim is presently battling for her life in a hospital.
The police claimed that the woman was in Ghaziabad to attend a birthday party and was returning back to Delhi and was dropped off at a bus stand by her brother. When she was waiting for the bus five men in a car approached her and dragged her into it. They took her to an undisclosed location and raped her. The police said they have arrested four of the accused.
Delhi Commission for Women chief Swati Maliwal tweeted that the woman is in a serious condition with an iron rod still inside her. The woman was found “wrapped in a jute bag, with her hands and legs tied and an iron rod inserted in her private part,” she said.
Swati Maliwal has written to the senior superintendent of police, Ghaziabad, to furnish details about the perpetrators of this heinous crime. A notice sent by her read that the “woman was found in a very serious condition in a pool of blood, with an iron rod still inside her. The woman is in a critical condition.”
